The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mrs.Nigina Alizoda, and composed of the Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr.Aziz Nazar, as well as the Director of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Mr.Ilhom Mirsaidzoda is participating in the 70th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency taking place from September 14 to 18, 2026 in Vienna, the Republic of Austria.

It is expected that during the conference, IAEA member states will exchange views on the current status and prospects for the safe, secure and peaceful use of nuclear technologies in the world.

Genel Konferansı çerçevesinde, Tacikistan Cumhuriyeti Dışişleri Bakan Yardımcısı Sayın Nigina Alizoda, “Umut Işınları: Kanser Tedavisinde Vaadi Yerine Getirmek” başlıklı Bilimsel Forum’a katılarak bir bildiri sundu.

Bakan Yardımcısı, katılımcılara Tacikistan’ın radyoterapi ve onkoloji alanındaki başarılarının yanı sıra, Tacikistan’ın IAEA ile 2025-2030 Ulusal Programı çerçevesindeki işbirliğindeki ilerlemeler hakkında bilgi verdi.

Ayrıca, Tacikistan tarafının en iyi uygulamaların paylaşımına ve modern, güvenli ve erişilebilir onkolojik bakım geliştirmek için uluslararası ortaklığın genişletilmesine hazır olduğu vurgulandı. Tacikistan’ın deneyiminin, nüfusun kaliteli uzmanlaşmış tıbbi hizmetlere eşit erişimini sağlamayı amaçlayan “Umut Işınları” girişimiyle tamamen uyumlu olduğu belirtildi.

On September 15, 2026, in Vienna, in the framework of the 70th session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mrs. Nigina Alizoda participated and delivered a statement at the Scientific Forum “Rays of Hope: Delivering on the Promise of Cancer Care”.

The Deputy Minister briefed the participants on Tajikistan’s achievements in the field of radiotherapy and oncology, as well as on the progress of cooperation within the framework of Tajikistan’s National Programme with the IAEA for 2025–2030.

Furthermore, the readiness of the Tajik side for the exchange of best practices and the expansion of international partnership to develop modern, safe, and accessible oncological care was emphasized. It was noted that Tajikistan’s experience is fully aligned with the “Rays of Hope” initiative, which aims to ensure equitable access of the population to quality specialized medical services.
