Expressing gratitude to the President of the United States for organizing the historic meeting at the White House, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the C5+1 Summit marks the beginning of a truly new era of cooperation between Central Asia and the United States.

The Head of State highlighted the role of U.S. President Donald Trump in international politics, describing him as a prominent statesman.

We cover almost 25 percent of America’s domestic uranium demand. Kazakhstan has become a home-country for 600 American companies, — said the Head of State.

President Tokayev informed that during the current visit, deals worth over $17 billion were signed between companies of the two countries.

President Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s support for the U.S. President’s peace initiatives, including the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), which could contribute to the further development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor).

For his part, President Trump reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to further strengthening the Enhanced Strategic Partnership with Kazakhstan.

Tartışmanın konusu, Kazak-Kore stratejik ortaklığının daha da geliştirilmesine yönelik beklentiler oldu.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kazakistan ile Güney Kore arasında ekonomik bağların dinamik gelişiminin özel önem taşıdığı dostane ilişkilerin geliştiğini kaydetti.

 

 

 

Kazakistan Cumhurbaşkanı, ikili ticaret cirosunun geçen yıl 6 milyar doları aşarak istikrarlı bir büyüme gösterdiğini vurguladı. Aynı zamanda Koreli şirketlerin Kazakistan ekonomisine yaptığı toplam yatırım 8 milyar doları aşarak ülkemizin ilk 10 büyük yatırımcısı arasında güçlü bir yer edindi.

 

 

 

Devlet Başkanı’nın da belirttiği gibi, bugün ülkemizde 700’den fazla Kore şirketi ve ortak girişimi faaliyet göstermektedir. Bunun bir örneği, KIA, Hyundai, Samsung, LG vb. şirketlerin Kazakistan pazarındaki aktif varlığıdır.

 

 

 

 

Toplantı sırasında Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, nadir toprak metallerinin madenciliği ve nükleer enerjinin geliştirilmesi alanında umut verici ekonomik işbirliği alanlarının ana hatlarını çizdi.

 

 

 

 

Buna karşılık Kore Devlet Başkanı Yun Seok Yeol, ülkesinin Kazakistan ile karşılıklı yarar sağlayan işbirliğini daha da derinleştirmekle ilgilendiğini belirtti. Ona göre, Koreli şirketler makine mühendisliği, madencilik ve nükleer enerji alanlarında mevcut projelerin genişletilmesi ve yeni projelerin uygulanmasına özel ilgi gösteriyor.

On the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the President of Finland Sauli Niinistö.

 

 

 

During the talks, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Finland is the largest trade partner of Kazakhstan and holds leading positions in terms of investment among the countries of Northern Europe. The presence of huge potential for further strengthening of political, trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation was emphasized.

 

 

 

In turn, Sauli Niinistö said that Kazakhstan is a very important partner of Finland and expressed readiness to continue mutually beneficial cooperation on the whole range of bilateral agenda.

They also exchanged views on topical issues of international politics, including in the context of UN reform.

 

 

 

Head of State invited the President of Finland to take part in the next Astana International Forum as one of the main speakers of the event.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.

The Head of State stressed that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to strengthening bilateral relations with Iran as a strategic partner in the Caspian Sea region.

 

 

 

During the talks, the leaders of the two states discussed the current state and prospects for further development of Kazakh-Iranian cooperation. The sides noted the importance of adopting a set of measures to increase cooperation in the spheres of transport, logistics and trade.

– We have reached very useful agreements on the visa procedure, as well as on other areas related to the interaction between business and citizens. I would like to say that Kazakhstan is absolutely committed to strengthening relations with Iran. Both Governments should take appropriate measures to implement our agreements previously reached in Tehran. I look forward to seeing you again in Kazakhstan, – said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The Head of State noted the positive interaction between the two countries within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and other international structures.

 

 

 

In turn, President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi said that Kazakhstan and Iran have exemplary relations based on strong ties of friendship and mutual support.

– Iran and Kazakhstan enjoy excellent bilateral relations, having this level of partnership makes us take further steps to develop our relations, especially in the field of trade. We are serious about expanding relations with brotherly Kazakhstan. Our countries have great potential and utilising these opportunities will serve us well, – Ebrahim Raisi said.

 

 

 

The leaders emphasized the great potential in strengthening transit and transport links. In particular, they noted the great potential of using the railway Kazakhstan – Turkmenistan – Iran as a key route for the development of mutual trade and transport across the Caspian Sea. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the importance of the construction of a Kazakh trade terminal in the port of Bandar Abbas.

The leaders agreed to increase communication between their governments to accomplish their economic goals.

On the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Slovenia’s President, Nataša Pirc Musar.

The Head of State emphasized that Slovenia is an important partner of Kazakhstan in the European Union. According to him, our countries maintain positive dynamics of interaction.

 

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Nataša Pirc Musar to participate in the Astana International Forum next year.

 

 

 

 

– I would like to extend a formal invitation for you to visit Kazakhstan. We will host the Astana International Forum in mid-June next year to discuss political and economic issues. The forum in June this year was a huge success. I’m hopeful that you will become one of our main speakers in the future, alongside other state leaders, prime ministers, and heads of transnational companies, – stated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

 

 

 

In turn, the President of Slovenia confirmed her readiness to develop cooperation with Kazakhstan.

 

 

 

– There is always room to improve cooperation. There are no problems between our countries. I will be happy to welcome you during your visit to my country, – said Nataša Pirc Musar.

 

 

 

The Presidents discussed the prospects for the development of Kazakh-Slovenian cooperation in trade and economic, transport and logistics, and humanitarian spheres. They highlighted the positive experience of cooperation between the two countries in the pharmaceutical, logistics and IT industries.

 

 

 

The sides exchanged views on international issues, in particular, considered further measures to ensure stability and security in the world, improvement of the UN structure. During the conversation, the growing role of Central Asia and Kazakhstan was also noted.

The Presidents agreed to work closely together within international structures.

The Head of State receives President and CEO of Wabtec Rafael Santana

The prospects of cooperation with Wabtec in the framework of the reconstruction of the railway industry in Kazakhstan were discussed at the meeting.

 

 

 

Rafael Santana informed the Head of State about the investment projects underway to launch in Kazakhstan the production of locomotives using hydrogen technologies and their components, the creation of an engineering center and technology transfer.

 

 

 

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the company’s plans to invest about $1 billion in the transport and logistics industry, noting that this will contribute to the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and will become the basis for other infrastructure projects.

Within the framework of the President’s visit to the USA, a framework agreement on strategic cooperation was signed between the JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” and Wabtec.

 

 

 

 

Wabtec (Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corporation) is a Fortune 500 company and one of the world’s leaders in transportation and logistics.
