As part of the scientific and practical conference on the topic: “Mustafa Shokai and the Turkic World”, organized by the Turkish Center for Strategic Studies “Sahipkiran”, in addition to historical facts from the words of the present speakers, a book containing content about the difficult life and activities of Mustafa was presented to the local connoisseur of scientific works and journalism Shokai was presented with a book about the fate of the great fighter for the independence of Turkestan entitled “The Policy of the Soviet Union regarding the Turkic World.”

The author of a unique written work in its content describes in great detail the tragic events of that time, where he specifically dwells on the personality of Mustafa Shokai. The book was written by a Turkish scientist, professor at Mimar Sinan University Abduakap Kara and was simultaneously translated into Kazakh, Russian and French. According to the Turkish professor, it took about three years to create a book about the life of the Kazakh statesman. In his description, which was important for the whole world, he was based on archival data and specific historical facts, which is confirmed by the painstaking scientific work of the scientist.

September 17, 2023, during the 45th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of Material Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, which is being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Transnational Cultural Heritage of the Silk Roads: “Zarafshan-Karakum” (monuments of ancient Panjakent, the town of Sanjarshah, the fortress Hisorak, Gardani Hisor, Fortress of Mugh, Fortress of Kum, Tali Hamtuda, Toksankorez irrigation system, Tomb of Khoja Muhammad Bashoro) was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

On June 5, 2023, Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan met with Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Executive Secretary of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation and prospects for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and the Commission, as well as topics related to food security, transport, green economy, disaster risk reduction, water and climate, especially Tajikistan’s new initiative on glacier’s preservation. During the meeting, issues of strengthening cooperation in various areas of mutual interest were also discussed.

On 23 March 2023 in New York on the margins of the United Nations 2023 Water Conference the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) Mr. Li Junhua.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on topical issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and UNDESA, including joint actions to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and expressed interest in continuing to follow up the results of the UN Water Conference.

Li Junhua expressed his gratitude to the Government of Tajikistan for promoting global water and climate issues and expressed UNDESA’s willingness to implement the decisions of the UN General Assembly and continue to coordinate and collaborate with Tajikistan in holding international events.
