The both leaders expressed satisfaction with the state of bilateral relations, which are developing in the true spirit of friendship and mutual cooperation, and expressed readiness to maintain this positive dynamic at the highest level.

 

 

 

 

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Qatar is one of Kazakhstan’s strategic partners in the Arab world. According to the President, the recent visit and participation of the Amir of Qatar in the Astana International Forum gave a strong impetus to Kazakh-Qatari cooperation.

 

 

 

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed the prospects for deepening trade and economic cooperation on the basis of previously signed agreements, as well as outlined areas for expanding further partnership.

On June 26, 2023, a meeting of Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Kuwait Zubaydzoda Zubaydullo was held with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah.

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the State of Kuwait in the fields of security and defense. They emphasized importance of strengthening security relations of the two countries, particularly in the fight against terrorism, extremism, illegal circulation of weapons and drugs, and transnational organized crime.

Second round of political consultations with the Sultanate of Oman

On 28 March 2023, the second round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Sultanate of Oman was held in Muscat. The delegations of the parties were headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Tajikistan Muzaffar Huseinzoda and the Under Secretary for Diplomatic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy.

 

 

 

 

 

In consultations issues related to the current state and prospects for development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Oman in political, economic, trade, investment, energy, tourism, agriculture, industry, as well as strengthening the legal basis, cooperation of the two countries in the framework of international and regional organizations and other issues of mutual interest were discussed.

Moreover, the sides noted the importance of establishing high-level contacts and exchange of visits in the development of bilateral cooperation.

The Heads of State exchanged greetings on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing the peoples of Kazakhstan and Qatar prosperity and well-being.

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed the prospects for further strengthening of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, investment and humanitarian areas. Special attention was paid to the effective implementation of the agreements reached following Amir Al Thani’s state visit to Astana in October last year.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining the dynamics of mutual trade and implementation of investment projects, including in financial sector.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the people of Qatar on the National Day of Qatar. The President expressed his best wishes for the country, which stands by the principles of peace and cooperation, to continue its progress and prosperity.

“I sincerely congratulate you on the successful conclusion of the FIFA World Cup, which coincided with this holiday. This competition, which has become a global brand, reaffirmed Qatar’s confident step into the future as a prosperous country. Sports fans and the world community have witnessed new high standards of the World Cup,” the telegram reads.

The President noted with satisfaction that the close relationships with Qatar, one of the main partners of Kazakhstan in the Gulf region, have been strengthening year by year and the cooperation is expanding. He expressed confidence that through joint efforts, relations between the two countries will continue to develop for the benefit of the peoples of Kazakhstan and Qatar.
