On 7 October 2026, the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in the «Avaza» National Tourist Zone in Turkmenistan.

The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated in the meeting.

The Foreign Ministers of the CIS member states exchanged views on current issues of the international agenda and discussed prospects for cooperation within the CIS framework.

Particular attention was paid to regional security, strengthening economic cooperation, and expanding humanitarian and cultural ties among the CIS member states.

The meeting resulted in the adoption of a number of decisions aimed at the consistent development and strengthening of multifaceted cooperation among the CIS member states.
